I’m moving down soon and am looking for a US mailbox service. I noticed that there is a MailBox ETC in Camino del Oriente:

Anyone have experiences with them or other similar services?

I used MBE in Panamá a long time ago and they worked OK. But there were better services that delivered mail etc.

    Saludos

The post office continues to allow foreigners to purchase PO Boxes for the receipt of mail and will cost you less than $20.00 per year. International mail arrives in about a week from the United States and Canada. If you get a box in the downtown post office, there is a customs agency in the building that can clear your packages or process 6 month exemption documents (everyone can import $500 without duties every 6 months).

Another option is Aerocasillas. For $20, they will provide you with a Miami address. Mail received is sent in about once a week by plane. The cost is about $5 per pound. We have a client who has mail sent in weekly from the United States and there are no duties on correspondence. Aerocasillas will also handle customs paperwork on packages less than $2000 in value.

I use Earthclassmail at earthclassmail.com. When new mail arrives they scan it and I can read it online. If I want it I can have them forward it to me online. Been doing business with them for 7 years.
