I am serious about migrating to Nicaragua as soon as I can get things in order. I lived in Catracho land for several years, until it became too dangerous for a gringo. I feel like I was the last one off of a sinking ship! I would like to import a small 4X4 diesel pickup with as standard transmission. As you probably can guess, these are about as rare as hens teeth, and when you find one, it will be 15 or 20 years old. I need to be sure that I can import an old vehicle before I purchase, they aren’t cheep.
Does anyone know if such a vehicle would qualify for importation under residency law? I know that most CA countries have the “10 year old limit”. Any help will be appreciated.
    Thanks, Minero
